Michael Baker International was the designer for the renovation of an existing meeting room suite of approximately 700 square feet at the Duquesne Club for the Duquesne Light Company. Michael Baker’s services included architecture, interior design, fire protection design, mechanical design, and plumbing design.
The Duquesne Club, founded in 1873, is a private social club in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The club is housed in an historic building downtown and features private meeting room suites, a bar, lounge area, interior courtyard, dining hall and other amenities. The Duquesne Light Company tasked Michael Baker with the cosmetic update of their existing suite, including all new plumbing fixtures, lighting, flooring, paint, and furniture.
I was responsible for producing the construction document set using Revit Architecture 2016, including but not limited to all interior detailing. Additional responsibilities included surveying the existing building, coordination with the engineering disciplines, acting as the BIM/CAD manager for the project, assembling packages for the submissions, attending on-site client meetings, and working with product manufacturers.
